MOTION

 Motion

The slope or gradient of a distance-time graph represents speed.

• The velocity of a body is its speed in a given direction.

• Average velocity = total distance / total time

• acceleration = change in velocity / time taken

• The slope of a velocity-time graph = acceleration.

• The area under a velocity-time graph = distance travelled.
